RE: Grandparents missing - Destin 5th Wheel rental

I thought they rented an RV and liked it so much they never came back. I just see them heading down the road spending the kids inheritance. "Free at last, thank God we are free at last"

RE: CG's in LA or MS?

Try Punkin Park near Hammond. Next to interstate but might be OK for one night. Some shade and some not, but might be in your price range. Web site looks better than the park.

RE: Roof vent removal....Update

When I got my fan the trim was about 3" high and it had instructions on how to cut it to fit my 1-1/2" area. I'm sure Fan-Tastic has what you need.

RE: Roof vent removal....Update

I did mine last year and the hardest part was getting the sealer to let go when removing the old vent. I carefully removed as much as I could but when lifting the vent it still wants to stick to the roof, so slowly cut it loose as you lift the vent. Just cut the sealer and lift slowly. The instructions said to use Dicor but not the self leveling type. Just take your time and it will be fine.

RE: trailer tire wear issues

Sounds like the axle has lost its camber. Both axles should have an upward arch and overloading or rough roads may have caused it to bend. Just replaced both my axles which had lost camber. Some alignment shops can adjust them and get them back in spec.

RE: Use of Generators in National and State Parks

Deadhorse Point SP has 30a and 50a at all sites. Only water is at restrooms so bring a full tank.

RE: Woodalls CG Directory 2008 for Mac?

Got an E-mail today selling 2008 and 2009 Woodalls at a special price. It stated: Plus, for 2009, the complimentary CD–ROM is significantly enhanced to work on ANY operating system – regardless of whether your computer is a Mac or PC! So maybe the 2008 has problems.

RE: Prodigy installl... level?

Mine sits at a 45% angle and works fine. I believe it will give you an error code if it too far out.

RE: Trimming Memory foam to fit?

Thanks for the replies - I believe I'm going to gamble and get the Serta 2" topper from Overstock.com for $79. Will use my electric fillet knife to trim to size. I got the Serta 2" last year from Overstock and it is really nice. I trimmed it with scissors and wife made a pillow from the extra piece. Jim

RE: Waste Tank Camera

Now that would be a real "backup camera" or maybe a "rear view" camera depending on how you used it.:B

RE: Dalla Tx Question

My last trip through there I took US 69 North Jim No doubt about it, this is the best overall route from the east, bypassing the entire DFW area, and the never ending miss-mash of unrelenting traffic. But, that wasn't the intent of the OP's original question. ;) grey eagle, I got that route from you last year and it worked out really well. The OP later stated he was heading to Amarillo so I thought I would throw it out there in case he wanted to avoid DFW altogether. Jim

RE: Dalla Tx Question

My last trip through there I took US 69 North from I-20 near Tyler and then West on US 82 at Bells and onto US 287 at Henrieta. Nice country drive if your not in a big hurry. Jim

RE: Best route from Pigeon Forge, TN to Cherokee, NC

Take the bypass around Gatlinburg. Pretty drive and you miss the Gatlinburg traffic and narrow lanes. Jim

RE: South Florida this Winter

We we in Key West last week and stayed at Geiger Key at MM 10. Nice small park with open air waterfront Restaurant and Bar on site. Good food and good prices and nice local people. They are very pet friendly and you can bring them to the Restaurant. We had asked about day care for "Peaches" and Hope the manager said just leave her in the RV and they would check on her. Here is a link to my pics Also has wi-fi on the deck.

RE: Formaldehyde Lawsuit

Well then next time let em live on the streets, you try and help and this is what we all get in return. Be careful what you wish for. Next time it might be you or your family needing help. Katrina Survivor without any help from FEMA

RE: Southwest Colorado Options

Check out Mesa Verde RV Resort. Its on HWY 160 at entrance to Mesa Verde NP. We stayed there last Oct and was a great base camp. They also offer pet sitting if you need it. In Mancos try Ted's for fry bread. Just East of the traffic light on 160
